Random stone pieces of my building get destroyed suddenly, even though integrity was blue

Tonight random pieces of my main building started getting destroyed even though I have had them for ages and the integrity was blue on on all of them (placed directly on ground).

WTF?!

Two chests also randomly got destroyed all of a sudden. I was standing next to everything as it happened so definitely no mob did this. Also I have workbenches all over the place so no spawns inside the base.

Heh, ok, next one. Is this on a dedicated server or are you just playing the game locally?

I also searched a bit and found this...

Thanks for looking into it. I am playing locally.

It's a really ♥♥♥♥ feeling to see stuff collapse like after you spend lots of effort building it. I should really stop playing early access games.

Yeah, I bet. Another option, based on what you have said and the thread I found, build with wood. Not great but it does seem to only be affecting stone so far.

Edit: Although, I forgot about the chests.

Check instances. I reached a very high number before the save patch and was having stone pieces and a specific sconce break apart. After the patch, it all cleared up and I've had no problems since.

new pieces can get confused and change color slowly, eventually busting.
I had one of these in my castle and adding a supporting bit resolved it. Before I put in support it would vanish when I opened the game or came back after a long time away -- never could catch it in the act and the rocks it broke into were hiding inside walls.

These were not new pieces. They have been there forever. I did not modify anything on that building.

I have had the exact same thing happen today. Never been a problem and all of a sudden it broke. Not that big, but still rather annoying.

The sconces on a structure of mine were suddenly falling off when i used a portal in and out of my area. They however, were all on the same lining. What also happened is that they were all planted on a... i guess some sort of chunk line? So the wall was on one chunk and the sconces were on placed on those walls but they themselves were hanging in another chunk.

You can see the lines pretty good when using the hoe for making a stone pathway.

They don't break, max 50% durability loss, no more.

Just out of curiosity do you have a roof over the pieces that are breaking? I know weather degrades wood, not sure about stone.
