Has anyone else here had problems with windows 10 updates for the last 6 to 12 months,

Ive had an issue with a specific "quality of life" update. I think it was KB 15001303. After first installing it I got a quarintined file warning from my antivirus labeling it as keylogging spyware. When I checked multiple online sources about the issue. Mostly youtube and microsoft support forums. There are a lot of complaints about issues with this update causing crashes bootloops and in some severe cases bios corruption. I havent had any problems accept for the update keeps popping up trying to install and causrs my CPU temp to spike by 10 to 15 C, Ive set my antivirus to label it as malicious software and the update no longer trys to install. What the heck is going on with windows 10. The more research I do into this matter has shown me the problem is very wide spread.

.00001% of all update installs cause problems. No one reports when an update works properly.

I haven't had any issues at all with windows 10 with the two exceptions that it used to want to install an outdated driver for my audio hardware that would break all audio, and cortana search sucks and would break the start menu all the time. My friend is currently going through the audio issue with this latest update. But that's a driver issue not necessarily caused by this last update but coincidental timing.

Sounds like you might have some malware at play. I did have an odd issue with a video file I was trying to download from Zoom a few days ago. Got a message from anti-virus telling me it wasn't safe, wouldn't allow it. Now that I think of it , I never really followed that up.

The only big issue it caused me was that it caused my Hitachi 10k RPM HDD to run at 100% constantly. Once I set my antivirus to treat it as malware/spyware and deleted the update itself the problem went away and hasnt returned. The people I hear having the big problems are laptop off the shelf desktops and notebook users. Nearly all users of there own custom DIY builds have quickly fixed the issue and only had minor inconveniences. I mention this because microsoft aupport sent me a message saying that there have been non sanctioned 3rd party updates being sent out through windows update since microsoft did away with their in house QA team and went to a 3rd party contractor to do that work. That info I actually got from a microsoft support technician. He was very unhappy about microsfts decision in that area. In fact Ive seen some online news reports that some companies primarily defense contractors "Two of which I know personally are in the process of filing class action lawsuits due to the security risk this new change can cause for them. I know this much as A US Navvy Submariner Veteran our OS in sonar was based on windows 98 and that was an upgrade in 2002. One department you dont mess with is the Department of Defense aka the D.O.D.
